Lofty Barn is a local family owned and operated business in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Our family and relatives used the time they had during COVID to preserve food in jars through food canning. Thus, Lofty Barn was created to address the need for those who like to eat healthy and do their own food canning. Lofty Barn’s first product will be launched soon with complimentary recipes for food canning. The first product is regular mouth canning lids.

Due to high demand and shortage of canning lids, our family decided to design a canning lid to help others do their food canning without worrying about if the lids seal or if they can find the products at their local stores.

For those of you have not done food canning or food preservation before, we will provide recipes and a beginner guide if you are interested in starting.

You can do your own food preservation for healthy eating that may cost you a lot less.

As they say, “you are what you eat”. Most of us have no clue when we buy healthy food jars - that is, are they are as healthy as the labels say they are? We started doing our own food canning/preservation and realized that it costs much less, and we know what is in the jar since we used our own recipes. Thus, we are sharing our secret, so you are most welcome to use it.

Also, if you are a small business that does their own food canning, and have been frustrated with lids that don’t seal, then you will like our canning lids. We listened to customers reviews and ensured our product is unique in addressing the shortcoming of what is already in the market. While there are no such things a perfection, we are open to listening to feedback and bringing more products in the coming future.
